老一厂，既宜兴紫砂工艺厂，1958年，由吴云根、裴石民、任淦庭、王寅春、朱可心、顾景舟、蒋蓉七大老艺人集中当时民间制壶和陶刻的紫砂艺人一起成立了宜兴紫砂生产合作社，这是宜兴紫砂厂的前身。直到1997年改制为民营后结束，前后一共39年历史。但是1958年时叫合作社，所产的壶叫“合作社壶”，1966-1976年是文革，所产的壶叫"文革壶"，真正的老紫砂一厂，应是1977-1997年。
人们所说的“一厂壶”，就是指1977-1997年这段时间，现今市场上的制壶名家，几乎都是从宜兴紫砂工艺厂出来的。喜欢“一厂壶”的人，很重要的因素就是喜欢紫砂泥料，而老紫砂一厂的泥料，正是最佳，最纯，最优，最正的宜兴紫砂，其原料都经过精心筛选和多年养土风化陈腐，具有很高质量的紫砂原矿，尤其是一厂的隧道窑更是有别于外面民间的窑。有人试将紫砂厂的泥料拿到外面去烧，结果烧出来后表皮却较为干燥，重量与紫砂的扎实度也大不相同，无法像厂内那样烧出来具有的水色与光泽。“一厂壶”本身不用养，就会具有一定的水色与光泽，有时较佳的泥质，如特级底槽青泥，光是洗干净，以布轻轻擦拭就会散发温润玉石般的光泽。
老一厂紫砂壶分早期壶，中期壶，和后期壶：
早期壶是指1977-1982年，这段时间大多用于出口创汇，主要出口香港，日本，东南亚。厂里集中了最优秀的技术骨干力量，包括当今的很多名家大师一起制壶，很多壶型都是大师名家经过反复研究后定款定型的，所使用的泥料，也是著名的黄龙山四号井的优质泥。 在那个时侯，文革刚刚结束，改革开放刚开始，一切百废待兴，人们都努力奋斗，抓紧工作，把失去的时间夺回来，没有考虑个人得失，全部精力都用于为国家出口创汇上。所以那时侯人们做的壶，都是用精益求精来形容，壶的质量第一，国家形象第一，底款都为“中国宜兴”。可以说这一时期的出口壶，是老一厂紫砂壶质量最好的时期，这些出口壶都是精品壶。国内存世量很稀少。
中期壶是指1983-1991年，人们价值观已开始改变，逐利已开始变为首要任务，做壶心情已开始改变，“拼紫”就在这个时期出现，个人印章也是这时开始。
后期壶就是1993-1997年了，进入了市场经济。一切向钱看，都是为钱做壶，壶的质量大为下降。总而言之，人们收藏“一厂壶”，就是要收藏1977-1982年的早期壶。“一厂壶”已成为历史。不可复制，永不再生，是一个时代的骄傲，是紫砂壶史上最为辉煌的一页。

近期我公司征集到一把紫砂一厂的旋转筋纹紫砂壶，筋纹自壶钮开始，经盖面、身筒，一直延伸至壶底，上下一气呵成，贯通全器。此壶以原矿朱泥作胎，胎质细腻，呈色明润，上手手感极佳。造型将仿古与筋纹器相结合，椭圆形身桶，扁而蕴力，筋纹线条勾勒精细，深浅自如，饱满而富有韵律。口盖严丝合缝，壶钮巧而精致，整器工艺令人叹绝，非常具有艺术收藏价值。

藏品壶盖、手柄底部、壶底皆铸有顾景舟印章款识，其字体结构严谨、工整规范、气韵连贯、刚劲有力。顾景舟一生所用之印章，数量之多无出其右，他尤其喜用文人式的闲章表达他的创作心境和个人生活状况。可以说，将闲章运用于紫砂艺术，顾景舟是集大成者。
顾景舟人称顾老，是我国近代杰出的紫砂陶艺家，近代宜兴有著名的七大艺人之一（任、吴、裴、王、朱、顾、蒋）。生前致力于创建紫砂工艺厂，其作品充份表现精、气、神、韵之美，不但深具东方特有艺术特色，更赋予时代气息，堪称为紫砂壶之一代宗师！80年代在港拍卖价已为65万元人民币。现每把壶时价均超过一百万元，广受海内外收藏家争相购藏，惜生前作品不多，能珍藏者少之又少。
